On a sunny day in December 2009, Dreyer surprised me with a beautiful engagement ring and an amazingly “true to us” proposal! We weren't in a rush to get married, but by the end of Jan 2010 due to a broken collar bone, and lots of time on my hands I was furiously planning one of the most memorable days in a girls life, our WEDDING DAY!
We wanted a relaxed, outdoor, morning wedding and looked no further than the beautiful Magaliesberg to find a venue, and found the perfect place. With a name like GOBLINS COVE it could only be a magical place, and didn't disappoint. Perfectly rugged, perfectly different,a fairy tale Forrest setting, perfect for us.

After 2 months of searching, planning, fitting and a bit of stressing(my mom and sisters were stressed out because I was so relaxed??weird isn't it:)) the special day arrived, on a gorgeous sunny Autumn morning.
Awakening to the sun shining and birds chirping I knew it was going to be a memorable and fun day. With my sister Ilze, a beautician, and my middle sister Sanelle, working in the clothing industry, I was in good hands to look as stunning as any bride dreams of being, my mom just handing out Rescue pills and champagne to anyone who looked a bit stressed!!
Savouring every moment from walking down the isle with my giggling bridesmaids, dancing on the grass to our favourite Buddy Holly song, and to stuffing ourselves with the tastiest carrot cake ever. Such a special day, shared with the most special family and friends.
The day turned out as perfect as I could have imagine it, and it was all thanks to family and friends who helped with things like carrying 40 wooden benches that weighed about 30kg’s 400m down a narrow path to the riverside, my mother and sisters adding flowers and ribbons, and other fine details to the decor I would never have thought of and made everything look so special!!

And lastly I just have to mention that it had rained the WHOLE week prior to the wedding, and Goblins started to look like a swamp the Wednesday before the wedding, but with a lot of prayer and trust, our blessed, sunny wedding day symbolises the blessed life God had planned for Dreyer and myself, and just confirmed again that trusting God in all aspects of your life, he will bless you above all expectations!
